Parabolic trough receiver (Int. patent application (PCT), filed on June 2009) The standard parabolic trough receiver is the metal/glass tubes layout. We have developed a novel, non glass receiver with a comparable performance with the standard receiver. The advantage is that the cost is about 50% lower.
Power block for CSP (US patent application, filed on May 2009) A combined Rankine/Kalina cycle was developed for the market leading solar thermal power technologies (trough and tower). The power block allows electricity generation during low solar radiation periods and eliminates the need for water cooling. With the new power block, a significant electricity cost reduction is indicated.
Parabolic trough/PV system (Israeli patent application, filed on Sep 2008) We have developed an original layout for low concentrating photovoltaic system (LCPV) based on parabolic trough collectors. The configuration includes a special PV receiver design. The system suggests a significant cost saving compared to the common flat PV. |
