Low Concentrating PV

Advantages (over the common flat PV):

• Higher conversion efficiency.
• Higher annual energy production (kWh/yr per kW installed) by at least 15-20%.
• Much better cost effectiveness.

Status:

• An Israeli patent application was filed on Sep 2008.
• Theoretical and experimental R&D is ongoing, achieving app. 50%.
• Pilot is expected to be working at the beginning of 2011.
• The project is conducted by Tene Solar, a subsidiary company of ASP.
